How do I sign up?

Fill out the sign-up form, accept the Terms and Privacy Policy, and submit. A 6-digit code will be sent to your email (valid for 5 minutes). Enter it to verify, then sign in.

I didn’t get the verification code. What should I do?

Wait 1–2 minutes and check your spam or junk folder. If the code expires (after 5 minutes), restart sign-up to receive a new one.

How do I sign in after verification?

Use your username and password on the sign-in page. "Remember me" is optional for faster future access.

How are profile matches calculated?

We compare your "About Me" answers to others’ partner preferences — and vice versa. Formula: Matches ÷ Considered × 100. Descriptions and free-text answers are not included.

Can I hide my profile from search?

Yes. Go to Settings → Profile & Visibility → turn off "Show in search."

What are my photo and compatibility test visibility options?

You can choose: Individual, Mutual Likes, Plus Members, or Anyone.

Can I edit or update my profile?

Yes, you can edit your profile at any time.

How do likes, matches, and chats work?

Send a like to someone. If both like each other, it becomes a mutual like, and chat is unlocked between both users.

Why can’t I send messages?

You can only chat after a mutual like. Also, Free users have daily message limits, and messaging is disabled if either account is deleted or blocked.

Can I unlike someone?

Yes. Tap Like again to unlike. This also removes any per-person photo or test permissions between you.

How can I block or report someone?

From the user’s profile or chat, tap Block or Report. Blocking hides your profile from them; reporting notifies our moderation team to review any violation.

Who can see my photos?

Visibility depends on your settings: Individual / Mutual Likes / Plus Members / Anyone. You can also grant or revoke access per person (if "Individual" visibility is selected).

Can I retake compatibility tests?

Free users: Each test once (cannot edit). Plus users: Can retake and edit answers anytime.

What types of tests are available?

Personality, Values, Lifestyle, Core Goals.

Are the tests scientific?

No. They are designed for self-reflection and personal exploration only — not as psychological or professional assessments.

What’s the difference between Free and Plus?

Free: Limited likes/day, limited messages/day, no photo uploads, one attempt per test, includes ads, and some limitations on other features. Plus: Unlimited likes/messages, 4 monthly photo uploads, test edits anytime, extra visibility controls, family-managed tag, top-match access, ad-free experience.

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?

Ta’aluf does not use automatic renewals or recurring subscriptions. Each Plus plan is a one-time payment that provides access to premium features for its full duration. Since there are no ongoing charges or saved credit card details, there’s no need for manual cancellation — your plan will simply expire automatically at the end of the paid period.

What happens if I downgrade from Plus?

Ta’aluf does not support manual downgrades because Plus is not a recurring subscription. Once you purchase a Plus plan, you continue to enjoy all premium features until the end of your plan period; afterward, your account automatically returns to the Free plan without any action or charges.

Is my payment information secure?

Absolutely. All payments are processed by our trusted partner, and we never store your credit card details on our servers.

What happens if my Plus membership expires?

Your account will automatically revert to the Free plan. You won't lose your profile or existing mutual likes, but you will lose access to all Plus features.

Do you offer different durations for Plus?

Yes. You can choose monthly, 6-month, or yearly plans.

Are payments recurring?

No. Each payment is one-time; renewal requires a new manual payment.

Can I get a refund?

No. All payments are final unless a verified technical error (e.g., double charge) occurs through the payment gateway.

How can I change my username, password, or phone number?

Go to Settings → Account & Security. Each change is verified before saving.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Click "Forgot password" on the sign-in page. A 6-digit code will be sent to your email (valid for 5 minutes).

Select "Forgot username" on the login page; we’ll email it if your email is registered.

Can I have more than one account?

No. Each email is linked to one account only.

Do you use cookies?

Yes, but only strictly necessary authentication cookies (token, refreshToken). No analytics, tracking, or third-party cookies are used.

How can I delete my account? What happens after deletion?

Go to Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete my account. Personal data and images are deleted immediately. Chats become read-only and are permanently deleted after 30 days. Backup data are cleared within 3 months. Invoices remain stored for compliance purposes.

Do you allow bots, automation, or scraping?

No. Automated use, scraping, or data harvesting is strictly prohibited.

Where is my data stored?

All user images and sensitive personal data are securely stored on servers located in Saudi Arabia and protected with industry-standard encryption.

How do I grant photo or test access to someone?

Set your photo/test visibility to "Individual" in Profile & Visibility, then grant permission from the Mutual Likes list. You can revoke access anytime.

Why are someone’s photos or test results blurred or unavailable?

They’ve restricted visibility settings, or you don’t have permission (often requires mutual like and explicit approval).

My verification code expired.

Codes last 5 minutes. Restart sign-up or reset to get a new code.

My chats disappeared or became read-only.

This happens if the other user deleted or blocked their account, or if the chat exceeded the retention period.

What are the rules for uploading my profile image?

Ensure the image is under 5 MB, clear face, single person, and meets community rules (no violence, nudity, or celebrities).

How can I contact support?

In-app: Go to Settings → Help & Support → Contact Us and fill the form. Public website: Use the Contact Us page to reach us without logging in.

How long does support take to reply?

Usually within 4 business days, depending on request volume.

How are compatibility scores calculated?

Profile Match: We compare what you are vs. what they seek, and vice versa. Each matching item = 1 point. Percentage = Matches ÷ Items × 100. Test Match: Identical answers = full points; one step apart = high points; opposite answers = low points. Final score = average across all test questions.

Why do my percentages change sometimes?

Scores update automatically when you or others edit profiles, preferences, or test answers.

What are the communication rules?

All chats and profiles must follow Islamic manners and Saudi laws. No nudity, sexual content, harassment, violence, or political material. Private contact details should only be shared at your own responsibility after mutual understanding.

What happens if I violate the rules?

Your account may be blocked or deleted permanently, without notice or refund.

Is Ta’aluf responsible for relationships or outcomes?

No. Ta’aluf provides tools and matching features only. Users are fully responsible for their personal decisions and interactions.
